JAPPANESE ART AND TRADITION THROUGH RAKU POTTERY EVENTS

Raku is a fascinating ceramic processing technique. Its traces take us back in time, to sixteenth-century Japan, but this art, passed down from generation to generation, amazes even today with its strength and simplicity. It is still practiced by Japanese craftsmen, but also by European ceramic artists, due to the spectacular creative process and surprising color effects.

The RAKU event begins by decorating / glazing the objects, followed by the loading of the kiln and firing. The event will culminate with the opening of the kiln, when the incandescent objects will be removed and they will be introduced in the reducing atmosphere, following the discovery of the color effects, which cannot be entirely foreseen even by the artist!

Raku events can be attended by registering for announced events or by ordering a gro
up event.
